The 14th China International Hair Fair was held from September 3 to 5 at the Poly World Trade Center in Guangzhou. The show featured more than 600 global brands across 40,000 square feet of exhibition space, showcasing the latest hair products and innovations in scalp health and care. In particular, products that apply AI technology attracted a lot of attention, and about a dozen competitions and forums were held during the exhibition, providing a wealth of information and entertainment.

China International Hair Fair is sponsored by the China Chamber of Commerce for Import and Export of Light Industrial Products and Arts-Crafts. Attended by leaders from the World Hair Design Association (ICD China), government authorities of major production areas, and related industry associations, the event brought together leading companies in the hair products and scalp health industry.

Buyers from 72 countries, including the U.S., Canada, the U.K., and Germany, and a wide range of products spanning the entire hair industry added to the vibrancy of the global trade fair. Hair product companies showcased a wide range of products, including wigs, hairpieces, and human hair, and customized wigs using the latest AI technology were a big hit. In the field of scalp health, smart scalp examination equipment, products related to ectoplasm and stem cells, and scalp care products were exhibited, suggesting new trends.

The show proved that the hair industry is rapidly evolving beyond traditional craftsmanship by incorporating cutting-edge technology and advanced engineering. In addition, the future of the hair industry will be driven by technology-driven products as the key consumer group for the hair industry is getting younger, raising expectations for future growth.

During the fair, the 4th China Wig Styling Competition and the 7th China International Hair Extension Competition were held simultaneously, attracting relevant talents to the professional arena. The two competitions were the first competition IPs created by the China International Hair Fair, bringing together professionals of different nationalities to compete and showcase their latest styling techniques. In addition, several forums and events were held to share the vision of the industry as well as market intelligence.

The next annual China International Hair Fair will be held again in Guangzhou next September, and the upcoming Spring Chinese trade show for hair products will be held in Zhengzhou in March 2025.
